HTC Desire Z on back order

im wondering if anyone also has the same problem as me, I did a contract upgrade on the 6th of April to get the HTC desire Z and since then i havent received the phone.

called vodacom today again and they still say the phone is on back order and the manufacturer hasnt given a shipment date. does anyone know which other cell phone provider has the Desire Z in stock.

getting tired of the month long wait for a phone.

Apparently there is "one guy" bringing in the Desire Z and you will be hard pressed to find stock anywhere.

If you do not absolutely have to have the keyboard just get a Desire HD.
 
my word, i was really looking forward to the phone. the keyboard is the thing that won me over. The "one guy" who brings in the desire Z. is he on the leaf side or the vodacom side. really want to get this phone. but if i cant ill just bite the bullet and get the HD.
 
did you get yours recently there, might just go there and try to get it

I got it about 2 weeks ago.
I'm not sure if they will give it to you the same day,
but for me, I had to wait a day or two.

Good luck.

Oh and before I forget, you might wanna look at the vodacom shops there as well,
because they were getting stock at the time I went to get the desire z.
 
Convinced my girlfriend to go Desire Z instead of getting a torch, she agrees. turns out that its a nightmare getting the Z on MTN, even though MTN subsidizes HTC devices in South Africa. :/

Long story short, she will probably get the Torch this week and it is going drive me mad im sure.
 
join the club,i waited 6 weeks on vodacom and i ended up cancelling the order. Even tried getting it directly from leaf,also out of stock. They told me they are expecting
stock in june.

Tried the vodacom shop and mtn at the glen,both dont have stock.
