We have an HTC HD2 here that we would like to put Android on.

Has anyone succesfully managed to do this?

The chaps over at XDA have a version running, but not everything works (such as bluetooth, wifi, etc). See HTCPedia.

Separately, why do you want this, or is it just fiddling? For real daily use WM is superior in almost every respect (other than the UI, which is antique). What functions are you looking for in Android that WM doesn't offer, and in most cases with superior speed, capability and stability? (And yes, yes, anyone can find a thousand links to any opinion they want - I'm interested in your particular requirement, just as a curiosity.)

Hi good day. The htc hd2 is actually my phone i just asked CLOUD to help with this situation. I want to play with android so if you maybe know how to get dual booting to work on the htc hd2 i would appreciate it very much. If you do know how to do this could you please send a detailed instruction on how to do it? If not then maybe you could tel me how to remote desktop in widescreen on htc hd2 WM and also maybe you would know why the internet does not want to come thru to my phone when i set up my pc`s wireless card as ad-hoc and share the internet. I use a dailer and share the dailer, just though i shoud mention it.

Yeah, Danie asked me to help after I managed to root my Desire.

Turns out rooting a Desire is nothing like rooting a HD2, even though both phones are made by HTC.

I took a look, and I thought it best rather to come on here and ask about it before accidently bricking his phone. As he mentioned, Android on his device would just be a novelty, as many of the main functions like WiiFi etc does not work with Android installed.
