htc hero synch intervals

Anyone know how to set how often a app eg: Facebook and Mail syncs?
I would prefer to be able to control it as I am in Wifi zones most of the time, and no need to know what someone’s facebook status is when I am at the beach....

there is no true sync interval setting available... prob because mail is pretty much push technology and not interval set. not sure how the FB app is treating it

on hero tho, my recommendation is to setup on your home desktop the widget to control your data network and wifi network, so if you at the beach or in a movie just hit that and it will kill ALL syncing, until you want it to sync again

Do you have any suggestions? i know how to switch off the wifi, however how do you stop the data network? and would that stop you from receiving phone calls, or only data?

Going a bit off topic, but have anyone tried advance task killer? works great, only prob is you cant sync with your pc, unless you restart your phone and ATK is not loaded.... You can kill everything expect ATK...

place new widget on desktop....

go to htc widgets, then all the way down to settings.... then select mobile network. it only kills data network, not incoming calls and sms

found the setting for Facebook. People\updates and events press menu\ data connection settings. You can set how often Facebook will sync
