1: Install AnyCut and make granular shortcuts to whatever actions/settings/apps you use a lot
2: Install the barcode scanner from the OpenMarket. Then go to Contacts, choose a contact and see the new barcode options. It's a great way to exchange info. Go to http://delivr.com/qr-code-generator and make your own qr codes to include on your business cards, websites etc. Now anyone with an Android phone can scan the code and save your contact details or call/email you etc. It will also scan product barcodes and let you look it up on google web or product searches.
In my impatience waiting for the Android Market, I downloaded and installed tons of apps to see what they were, then uninstalled most of them. I decided to factory reset my phone to clean up any clutter - it is only a few days old after all.
The phone is certainly snappier. BUT, Leaf have obviously just installed their Open Market as a regular app. Factory resetting will loose it. You also don't have a file browser any more. SO, if you want to reset, first backup the apk files in your Download folder on the SD card and make sure OpenMarket.apk is there.
Then do the factory reset. The great thing is that all your contacts, email etc are back as soon a you enter your gmail credentials.
Connect to your pc and put the apk files back in Downloads. Now you need a file manager. On the phones browser go to http://www.openintents.org/en/download and download their file manager. Click on the finished download to install it.
Now you have a file manager to browse your sd card and reinstall the OpenMarket and whatever other apks you backed up.
