HTC One S - What version do we get in SA?

The HTC One S is sold in two flavours worldwide: S4 1.5 GHz and S3 (overlocked, older) 1.7 GHz. IMO the S3 version is a bit of a ripoff, older overclocked chip (45nm) only spells bad battery life and overheating.

Does anyone know what version is sold in SA? Our VC account manager says it's the S4 version, but I hear rumours that we are getting the S3 version. No one is sure, and no VC stores carry HTC stock around here.

Maybe someone from VC or an owner can comment?

BTW -- The S4 version is sold under model no z520e, S3 version as z560e.....

My brother just got the One S (after following my advice).
I can confirm that it is the S4 version (well, the one he has anyway).

AFAIK, HTC only released the 1.7GHz overclocked S3 version to the EMEA regions, due to a shortage of chipsets of the S4 version. I also haven't seen any serious availability of the One S from Voda locally. I had to import an S4 unit from the UK.

What colour was it?
If its anything but matte black, then its an S3.
If it's matte black, then its an S4.

Well according to one site, but yet to be confirmed.

I understand the international version to be matte black, and the US(T Mobile) version to be a blue metallic version. All US versions are S4. The International version may be S3 or S4, no physical differentiation. The only way is to have a look at the packaging (see top post) or Android system summary. What is weird, is that it seems that in SA the networks are selling both versions?!
