HTC One X

It actually shouldn't be too bad. I had a look at my friend's OneX. It's very thin so it actually doesn't feel as big and that screen is just amazing. I must admit my hands aren't the biggest but I could still use it fairly comfortably with one hand. If you get an opportunity you should try it out first.

Anyone know if MTN had exclusivity on the OneX or they just had stock before vodacom? And if they do have exclusivity, then for how long? I'm really keen for the OneX but on vodacom.

Ya you're right. I'll have a look at one before I decide, maybe it won't feel as big as I think!

Played with the HTC One X last night, sweet phone. Would just like to comment on the screen. The IPS LCD screen is incredible and absolutely destroys Samsung Galaxy S2/AMOLED blue-tinge PoS. I always knew this, I just find the suckers on the AM/O/LED train hilarious. :D

Well been using my One X for about a week now I think and it is really a good phone. Just a pity no S-Off yet so don't want to flash my rom and lose my warranty. Will wait another few weeks hehe...

The feel of the phone and the speed is really good. I'm waiting for the 1.29 update to be pushed then I'll get that but trading this for any other phone out there... No ways :)

Love it (plus it's white hehe)

Go to htcdev.com, there is an official way to unlock your bootloader, and as far as I know this should allow you to load a custom ROM without S-Off'ing.

Unless the one x is not supported with this unlock just yet ? Too lazy to go check the list of phones

If you do it that way you lose your warranty

Awesome. Do you get smudge marks (Such as blue stains from jeans, from the previous posts) or anything like that on the white? How is the battery life?

Ah should have figured.
BTW what the XDA peeps say about the battery taking a few charge cycles to hold properly is so true. Noticed today my screen-on time has increased from 2.5 to 3-4 hours depending on use

Nope. Not necessarily.

Also, if I understand correctly S-Off is a lower level, IE : more hardcore, "hack" than unlocking your bootloader, so if you are concerned about losing your warranty you shouldn't even consider S-Off'ing your phone.

Or have I got this the wrong way round ?

Rooting, voids your warranty. It is always possible to unroot your device though, then who would know...
s-off allows you to do things Google doesn't want you to, like change your system partition sizes by flashing something like cm7r2
