what is it you are looking for in terms of looks?

Something like this :

The red bits just makes it stand out and a more premium feel.

*These are pics of the Huawei Ascend D Quad, the fastest phone in the world. ;)

Apparently leaked stats for the HTC One X

"Online Storage: 25GB for 2 years from DropBox"

Well they better pull up their socks, Skydrive is now 25 gig free for life (You can access it via 3rd party apps on Android) and Box now offer 50 Gig free to all Android users

On the phone specs

All I have to say is 1800 mAh's? on a quad core?
Come on HTC have you learned nothing yet?

I had enough of HTC's crap battery life and will not look at there phones again till they sort this out.

Whenever I leave my house and dont feel like taking a charger I leave my HTC phone and take the Sony Xperia instead, lasting me 6 days with no complaints. Also the reason I want a Motorola RAZR MAXX.

I see the Huawei Ascend Quad-core has a 2500mAh battery......

I don't have to, it sells itself.

let me say this. until i started this thread i didn't know there was a phone called htc one. i've since learnt that there are in fact sub categories.through no effort from me, i know this phone exists.

i now know that there is a Huawei phone that is hyped. Again much like the HTC One I have picked it up now.

Is your beef that I happened to start a thread about a phone I heard about?

Why did you not start one about the Huawei? Except my disappointment when I saw the SGS2 (or whatever), I don't think I've ever derided an Android phone.

So I am not sure why you felt you had to attack the HTC One when there was no attack on any other phone?

Or do you do the same in other phone threads when someone makes people aware there is another option available?

and besides my actually going out and searching the internet, you still have not provided anything to suggest i shou;d look at what that phone provides. so you say it sells itself, but i am not sure what you think does that from what you have provided.

This was not an "attack".

You asked me what sort of design I would go for & I said I really like the Huawei Acsend's black & red design.

The HTC One will also be a great phone to have, in no way did I try to say it won't be a good choice.

It's the first phone with four CPU cores & it runs plain vanilla Android 4.0, a.k.a Ice Cream Sandwich.

So, if you want a Galaxy Nexus on steroids, this one's for you. :)

I say again. The pictures you posted say nothing to me about how that phone looks. i think because you may have maybe looked at it over a long time, those pictures mean something to you.

but to me they are are really empty. i cannot even begin to try and think what the phone looks like. would have been better if you just posted the front and back as a start.

my use of the word attack was probably not the correct word.

So, if you want a Galaxy Nexus on steroids, this one's for you.

what I as saying in my op is that by the time i look to change, this phone may be something that I have to look at at.

There are 32GB of user-accessible storage, but no expandable memory slot; instead, HTC and Dropbox are offering 25GB of online storage, similar to Microsoft's setup on Windows Phone.

This just says that South Africa is massively behind the curve.

Though of course, the question is what happens when the period ends. Given I have a 50GB solution from Box.com then I assume I could bypass this. The only problem being that with both, our upload speeds are ****.

So I think I will continue to run my N1.

from a looks point of view, it doesn't seem much different from the htc one.

edit - even seems like they used htc as the starting point

You can spot all HTC phones from a mile away, all got the curve at the front top part.

Unless you have the one I have, the HTC Wildfire S. ;)
