All I have to say is 1800 mAh's? on a quad core?
Come on HTC have you learned nothing yet?

Amen to that.

But I'm guessing they're going to take a page out of Motorola's play book and release a Max version later on. I won't be able to wait that long though.

So unless tegra 3 really has a significant impact on battery life, I'm going to hope the Huawei ascend d quad XL (that's a mouthful) comes to SA.

Its a shame, I really am an htc fan.

Aaah now it makes sense.

HTC is using the One name much like Samsung use Galaxy. It is a new indicator for the Android range. So you will get HTC One X, V, S and so on phones.

Shearing clippers, meet HTC's Android device portfolio. It appears UK head Phil Roberson wasn't just blowing the proverbial smoke this past January when he stated intentions to tighten up the manufacturer's portfolio with fewer releases focused on "amazing hardware" experiences. At today's MWC keynote the company announced an initiative that'll quite literally institute a One product line to rule them all ethos.

Functioning much like Samsung's Galaxy series does, all smartphones and tablets that fall under the 'One' brand umbrella will showcase an attention to three distinct areas of detail: top-notch imaging, integrated Beats audio and industrial design. And, unlike the divisive monikers that often results from heavy-handed carrier intervention, the 130 operators already on board for the OEM's newborn products will retain that streamlined naming convention. No word yet on whether the outfit intends to group its Windows Phone array under this same tree or if that'll warrant an entirely new family itself.

Was wondering why different sites had different specs.

Edit: Sony went the same route for the Xperia range with X P U and S phones. I wonder if the matching letters have anything in common, like X indicating AT&T only phones and so on?

X is the flagship. S is a smaller version. Apparently Htc want their names to be the same across carriers.

S for Samsung is their flagship. I think also for Sony?

Apparently its just a better equalizer plus premium headphones. Engadget did some testing on it

^ This

You can get the same effect using ProAmp or other media player that has an equalizer and a pair of Sennheiser's on any phone.

Well international release date is April but HTC South Africa said we can expect it somewhere in Q2.
