OK, I tried to bump an old topic, but alas, no interest from anyone...:(

My MMS sends, but I cannot download my incoming MMS messages.:confused:

I downloaded the updated settings from Leaf and will post the settings hereafter. (With these settings there is still no function:mad:)

Vodacom GPRS--

Connects to: The Internet
Access point: internet
all other: blank

Vodacom MMS--

Connects to: MMS
Access point: mms.vodacom.net
all other: blank

MMSC SETTINGS-
MMS-

Name: MMS
MMSC URL: http://mmsc.vodacom4me.co.za
WAP gateway: 196.6.128.6
Port: 9201
Connect Via: MMS
Max sending size: 100k
Wap version: Wap 1.2

Ive tried fooling around with these settings, getting quick download attempts, lasting only 2 seconds, no download though...:eek:

got download attempts lasting 60 seconds but still no mms on the phone....:eek:

ive had instant connection but no sending or recieving...:eek:

My data works 100% fine, mxit, messenger, everything is fine... just no mms incoming...:confused::confused:

Please someone help me here...im going nutz, I cant live without MMS. and it has been a month already!!!

PS. I know this is not an Simcard Size issue, ive tried a 64k and a 32k and im not gonna bother to test a mtn simcard as we all know this is a vodacom+htc=problem)

I've got the same problem. I can send to any network, but only receive from my home network, which is VodaCom.
 
so so, slootvreter, what we gonna do about this problem?

maybe the guys from the mteor thread got some help for us but nobody there is replying, i bumped that thread. apptly they got it fixed but i tried all the fixes on there and no cigar...
 
i wonder when vodacom will get back to me and what they gonna have to say....

please if v3g cn hit me up with some leads... i need to fix this....its really irritating. thx pps.
 
I'm using an S310, should be the same settings and mine is working.

The internet connection is the same, but under my mms settings i have the following:

Under connections-

Connects to:Secure WAP Network
APN: mms.vodacom.net
The rest is left blank.

MMSC settings -

MMSC URL: http://mmsc.vodacom4me.co.za
WAP Gateway: 192.6.128.6
Port: 9201
Connect Via: Secure WAP Network
Max Sending Size: 200K
WAP Version: 1.2

Just sent myself an MMS now to test and it works. Though it is incredibly slow... :(
 
I also have a Vox, (S710) and have never been able to send or receive an MMS. (Am on Virgin Mobile.):mad:

Does anyone have the Virgin Mobile MMS settings for this phone? (and I mean the S710, not its cousin or aunty.)
 
just tested your settings bro, still no luck, thx though, every bit of input helps.... but alas, still not getting anywhere, it took hell long in trying to download the message, 60seconds+ but same results, notification remains in inbox, no mms though...

my friend precious at the vodashop is gonna hav me on her back tomorrow morning, i already logged query with the customer helpline(online) and next on my list of targets is gonna be leaf,

this thing worked fine, i didnt do any rom update, didnt change any settings and all of a sudden... shezam... no more mms? thats just messed up...

im considering buyin a phone again, and just carrying this vox around for a pda....

ive tried sending myself a mms, sending myself one from vodacom4me.co.za... from mtn, from another vodacom user, tried another users simcard in my device, still nothing, this is really freaking me out now ...:mad:


im not even receiving anything from home network, niks , heeltemal niks...

I'll see if I can get my paws on a S710 and check the settings for you.

but now, a new school of thought... brace yourselves....

some htc spesific virus developed by the guys over at nokia or whatever? LOL, look i know it sounds far fetched, but maybe there is some virus or code or something wich disables the mms, coz i honestly never changed any settings, i didnt do a rom update, nothing...and then mms stopped working?

Not only does it SOUND far fetched, it IS far fetched.
 
do u remember caribe on the ngage and nseries, disabling messaging and bluetooth? i picked it up at the airport havin my n70 bluetooth on for 5 seconds sending a business card to the dude in line in front of me...

Yes, but that virus was not very wide spread, due to the fact that it disabled those means of communication. I would say if it was a virus, why just disable MMS? Anyway, I can receive from my home network, send to any other network, just not receive from MTN and CellC. :confused:
 
well i cant recieve from anyone.... cant send to anyone.... it goes through..im charged for it...but... no actual messages...

only thing that sends is if i send to myself , from myself, then it goes through fine, and i even get my delivery report... lol
