Keyboard makes it too fat. I'm not a dexter-texter, so the HD sans keyboard is what I need. The only missing thing is USA 3G.

that is the question. No sign of one. I'm waiting to find out if one is coming, otherwise i'm getting the Touch pro now.

I travel to the USA quite often. Would prefer to use just one phone. The TyTN II worked fine, but it's just too fat, and the GPS is too clunky.

There's one other feature I want in a PDA/phone: FM radio transmitter to play audio through the car radio.

Buy it in the US then, it'll be cheaper.

here's some interesting news:

Orange, one of the major carriers in Europe, announced that the HTC Touch HD uber device will be available in the UK from early November, exclusively on the Orange UK network until 2009.
