HTC Touch pro

Differences that I can see...
Touch Pro:
Hardware keyboard
is 7mm deeper
Has a card slot
better battery

touch pro

I have talk to a few shops and all of them expect it in September or October.
I would really want to know what the price is going to be?

What DIAMOND have and PRO not:
-4GB onboard memory but no memory card slot
-11.5mm think vs 18.1mm of touch pro

What PRO have and DIAMOND not:
-Bigger battery than diamond(1340mAh vs 900mAh)
- more ram and rom (pro:288MB ram/512MB rom where diamond: 192MB ram/256MB rom)
-qwerty keybord (5 rows)
-miniSD card slot
-flash for camara
-tv-out with optional cable
-And rumor have it some extra things in Touchflo3D

ok ok you win :)

I dunno about the hardware keyboard. I havent tried on a touch screen. So i dunno how difficult it is to type... Specially coz i do alot of sms mxit etc... But i like the diamond

and one more thing, not having a hardware keyboard must really suck! I have an htc tytn and tapping on my screen with a finger doesn’t work all that well for me…

Hmmm... I dunno, I like the HTC, but I fear the Pro might be too bulky. But I have never used a touch screen phone before, so I do not know how quickly I'd get tired of the screen touching as aposed to a hardware keyboard. Like I say, I send a few sms', mxit etc. So typing is important :D

EDIT: Does the SE have the standard ugly WM OS? I think the Touch Flo 3D is very slick

SE X1 also has a interface that SE made but is as cool as the TF3D.

As for the size. I think it is a acceptable size as it is close to the same size as Nokia N95.
Here is a review link for the Touch Pro. http://www.mobiletechaddicts.com/2008/08/16/htc-touch-pro-review/

UK prices of the Touch Pro is around 500-530GBP that is R7200-R7700 but I think it is going cost more than that in SA because the Diamond is only 430GBP in UK.

I really what the Touch Pro but I'm still a student and so that price is going to make or break it for me. Holiday work here I come.

Hey? SE operating system better than Touch Flo 3D? TF3D getting huge raves :)

Both phones use WM6.1 as their operating system.
Comparisons I've seen indicates that the Touch Pro has a better keyboard than the X1. That's not so strange because HTC manufactures the X1 for Sony and they wouldn't want the X1 to be better than their own branded product.

As far as size is concerned...my N80 is 26mm thick...so I don't have an issue with the thickness of the Pro. Yes, if you compare it to it's sibling (Diamond) it's quite thick, but not to its competitiors.

I am still not sure I see warrant in the touch pro's price above the Diamond....I mean the keyboard yeah I guess so, the increased memory I guess, but really I just don't know how they justify it, as really it is nothing more than a TD with a KB.

According to friendly guy at the MTN shop, the diamond Touch Pro is due to released from 1 October onwards.

Any owners of the HTC Touch Pro on this forum? Any negatives with this phone?
