Just a few things regarding a comparison between the Touch Diamond and Touch Pro.
I have the Touch Pro, however, you should note that my previous phone was a Sony Ericsson P900 (purchased in 2003) and thus just about any of the current generation of phones would simply blow me away. Therefore I'm REALLY impressed with the Touch Pro.
I know alot of folks say that its just a Touch Diamond with a keyboard, and while that may be true, I will say that typing on the touch screen is really difficult. It takes forever to type messaages if I'm trying to punch it in on the touch screen, the keys on the virtual keyboards just seem too small and sometimes I end up hitting the other keys instead. On my first day of use, my first thoughts were, "Thank God this thing has a slide out keyboard". Of course, one can type on the virtual keyboards with the stylus, but that takes more time since you are punching one key at a time. While the built in T9 text prediction is very impressive, it cannot fix everything, especially if you have already started spelling a word incorrectly from the 2nd letter onward. The tactile feedback on the slide out keyboard is superb.
I will say that the battery life is not impressive at all. At most the phone lasts two days on a single full charge. Of course during these 2 days I will be using the GPS, Wifi, 3G, sending and receiving SMS/MMS/Email, listening to MP3's and of course I do make and receive a fair amount of phonecalls. So while I am using the phone alot, the battery is nowhere near as good as what I expected it to be. One should note though that the battery in the Touch Pro is a longer life battery compared to the one in the Touch Diamond. I contacted Leaf earlier today and they said that they would be getting extended life batteries for the HTC Touch Pro in about 3 weeks time, though thats another R500 down the drain.
The following review will probably give a better comparison between the two phones:
One should note though that the HTC Touch Pro is about 6.6mm thicker than the Touch Diamond. When choosing between the two phones you just have to weigh the pros and cons and decide which suits you best. In my case I decided to pay more for a thicker phone so that I could get the slide out keyboard, better battery life, a few bug fixes and the option of expanding and changing the phones storage space as per my personal requirements.

http://www.mobiletechaddicts.com/2008/08/16/htc-touch-pro-review/When we looked at the HTC Diamond the TouchFlo 3D was a major disappointment, on this device however it is now a major plus, right out the box it is fast and smooth and really enhances the Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system. Finger scrolling, flicks and swipes are all easily done and work 100% of the time, it is now a brilliant addition to the handset, HTC have done a great job refining this software.
