HTC TyTN II (Codename: Kaiser)

Imate Ultimate 9502
Have you guys seen the new I-mate 9502? Exactly the same specs as the TyTn II (Kaiser). Same RAM, same Camera, same memory. Even uses the same CPU. except it has a VGA screen and 256k colors, and a LED light for the camera (kaiser has no extra lighting). The only drawback is the battery life, half of that of the kaiser.
But it has just been released. So it will only hit the stores here in SA at about March next year. So if you have time to wait till then, it is definitely a better choice.
But I will still buy the TyTn 2 as soon as it is available on contract here in SA, the itch is just to big to wait

I had an iMate Jam... actually... Leaf Wireless had an iMate Jam...cause over more than a year, it was constantly being sent back with the same problems...
And then an iMate JasJar... lets not even go there...
I think iMate products are poor. Personal opinion though.
Remember the days when cellphones were just cellphones and never gave problems? Sort of like a Telkom phone....without cables.

Its opened it, cool phone, got it from Voda.
Its a touch with more buttons, and the slide up function is a bit odd, I cant press the 2 select buttons when the phones flipped up......

Yip, I think it was designed by a woman lol...
If I had long nails ill be able to press them, but I still struggle a bit, you need to press it with the piece of skin just under your finger nail.... Thats only with the screen tillted full, you can change it to suit you I guess.
Otherwise, the phones good, solid build, has the old side ripples like the Jam did. Long stylus. Touch Flo like the Touch. Nice suede touch buttons inside.
Same as the Tytn.
Not much of a windows junkie so not sure what to look out for on the phone.
Got mine two days ago on contract upgrade from Vodashop at Vodaworld 
Phoned them (Vodacshop) the day before and was told that it would only come at end of November ... but then went past Vodaworld just in case ... Metro and Autopage also told me 3 to 4 weeks ... almost walked past the Vodashop (since I phoned earlier), but went in anyway ... and voila.
It was a mission to get the upgrade quote from Vodacare because the phone is not "loaded" on their system yet.
Excellent phone!

Awesome! got mine yesterday from vodacom on contract. There was only like 11 units left
awesome phone. I installed all my apps and everything works fine.
Except I cant seem to get the GPS working. I have tried leaf locate and google maps. But I dont get any gps location. Is there anyone that succeeded in plotting a location on a mapping application? Is it maybe because of the overcast weather lately?
