HTC TyTN / Imate JasJam

no need to up to 3.01, unless you're hectic about being able to change the theme. Just load the update cabs from the thread's 2nd post.

I can't keep up anymore with these cooked roms..

Yeah i agree with .VIBE, no need to waste my time an up to 301. I just installed necessary cabs..
Im happy so far with it...

Ahh, this would have been my second question.

'im also quite happy. I actually prefer 3.0 to 3.01, because I don't use MSN Live, and don't want it hogging resources.

imo, much better than 2.5

Just be sure to install all the cabs and get the "pimp my black" 0.2 cab.

Maybe its time for me to start playing around a bit with the different ROMS ... first though, I need to make a backup of my phone ... any software suggestions?

Also, do I just run the install on a WinXP environment, and ActiveSync will take care of the rest?

How do you mean backup? you want to dump the ROM or just backup your settings & data of the current ROM?

Backup of settings and data ... not too concerned about PIM content, my MacBook Pro will just resync that ... more looking to backup the settings

yeah, unfortunately you'll lose your settings when going to a new ROM.

Good thing I have not tried the new ROM ... the Mark/Space sync software does not handle WM6 yet ... got the e-mail this morning :D

everybody! wait with the new ROM flashes!

The MS bluetooth stack in all the latest build cooked ROMs are borked. It is not worth flashing until this issue is resolved. watch this space.
