HTC TyTN / Imate JasJam

Even if Lead release an official SA WM6 ROM, why exactly would you be interested in flashing it onto your device?

I am currently using Schaps 4.01 Full ROM for the time being...

The only thing that irritates me with my radio (same as above), is that the minute is loses signal it remains with no signal until i activate then reactivate Flight mode.

Why can't it just search for signal until if finds?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

HAHAHA, thought I'd come look around ... I am back on my TyTN after a Firmware upgrade on my Nokia N95 went TERRIBLY wrong last night. Dead as a doornail, and definitely not as easy as a WM device to get alive again.

So yes, there's my comment for today ... echo might be moving on tonight :p

yep, the schaps is de bomb.

though i found it quite interesting when it asked me whether I had Hard SPL 2.30 installed :confused:

Leaf WM6

Hi All;

I loaded the Leaf WM6 software onto my phone after having been on Satin for about two months. I also loaded the HTC Home plugin again, because I really got used to it.

My only issue is the radio, because now I'm back on 1.48 as opposed to 1.54. Does anybody know whether Leaf's version of 1.48 is specifically tweaked for SA networks? I'm with MTN.

regards

Mr. Van

No, probably not ... You will see that the Leaf update for WM6 comes from the international HTC site, and not from Leaf themselves, so that radio will not be optimised for SA

O/T: Shap's WM6 4.20 is available

Haven't flashed in a while. Is radio 1.54 quite stable? Still reluctant to move from Black Majik though. Maybe that's just the laziness of having to setup everything again though.

EDIT: Also is that Leaf Locate only for those devices shown on the right of the screen?

It works on my Imate Jasjam. It will intermittently close itself though. Try map24, looks exactly the same, but hasn't crashed on me yet.

Leaf Locate

Hi All;

I have put radio 1.54 back on my phone, but I think that it worked better with Satin than with the Leaf WM6 that's on my TyTN now...

I have both Leaf Locate and Google Maps on the TyTN, and I must say that the self locate Beta version of Google Maps has been able to locate my TyTn within 1 - 2 kms, without a GPS, everytime I've used it...! The detail of the satellite pics is also quite good - The self locate places my TyTN just outside my office building in Bryanston! The traffic option doesn't work though.... understandably, I guess.

I've used Leaf Locate extensively, and I always try the 3 different options to work out routes (CAR - FAST, CAR - SHORT, and PEDESTRIAN).

Looking for cable

Anyone know where I can get a 3-into-1 cable for TyTN ? For charging, audio 3.5 jack and wiredheadset.

I,m in CT today or will pay for it by IBT to be couriered to me in Struisbaai.

I need to send my phone in, the keyboard is messed up, you really have to push hard and its soooo slow!

I need to reload the normal OS in my IMate Jas Jam... do I just reflash it?

After getting fed up with the USB ICS from my TyTN to my Windows Notebook (my BT setup on the notebook doesn't have BT PAN), I decided to try this little gem:

ICS from the TyTN over Wi-Fi ... I have to say it works really well!

I don’t have a TyTnII yet, but that will be rectified soon.

I would like to know whether I can connect to the internet using the Wi-Fi capabilities on the phone and connect to a wireless switch that is on a network that connects to the internet.

I am a subscriber to this thread from the beginning and must admit that some of the discussions regarding “radio”, “flashing” (I hope you don’t get arrested for that lol) etc a bit “frightening” My question, can a computer savvy / non techie user benefit from using the TyTnII. Yes yes, I know it depends what I would need it for, but that is another discussion. What I would like to know is, can I use the TyTn as provided, or do I have to tweak it for better performance.

The TyTN II does this very well straight out of the box.
