HTC TyTN / Imate JasJam

I'm sure one of them was a static. When ever I plug my phone into the USB it takes a minute or so then on the phone it says:

Pocket PC Networking

Unable to obtain server-assigned IP address.......

Never used to do that.

Tx

You changed the Remote NDIS host was changed ... to get rid of the pesky message change it to 169.254.2.1

Cool Tx. Sounds about right.

Unfortunately I'm unable to save any settings, it seems. When ever I try to change settings like USB to PC setting and now this IP it brings up the little 4 color turning circle and that just stays turning for ever.

Any help will be appreciated.

Tx a mil.

I hope you are not trying to make these changes while the USB cable is connected to your PC ... if you are it wont work ... soft reset the device and try and make the changes

BB Connect & B 3.0

Sounds like Black 3.0 will be released in the next week or so.

Does anyone know if I can join up to Vodacom's Black Berry service by loading BB Connect on my TyTN ?

The push mail thing is starting to eat at me. Don't have an exchange server and don't want to push all my mail via Windows Live mail or Gmail. It does not address outgoing mail profiles.

I haven't used it before, but maybe the following will be helpful:

I have used this a lot, but the new build 42 no longer wants to work on WM6.

Have been in touch with the developers and given them a "heads-up" on where they can find some WM6 ROM's to test.

The alternative is to revert back to build 36.

I wonder of this is the same as the HEX problem with BB Connect ?

Pre-release Beta - Emoze build 47

OK, the development team have given me access to the following. Test at your own peril.

http://downloads.emoze.com/download/emoze_v1.30_build_47-prerelease.EXE

I'll only be able to have a look at it tonight.

When it worked it worked fairly well. If this does not work then it is back to Mail2Web for a while.

@ The Guy - The BB Connect HEX issue relates to the fact that the build number of newer WM6 releases have to be HEX edited to ensure the versions numbers match those required by BB Connect.

Does the PIM Backup restore across different ROM versions?

Anybody installed Black 3.0 yet?
I'm not happy with 2.5.... i think it sucks compared to kyphur's releases.... but then i haven't installed the performance enhancers etc

I'm on Black 3.0

Too soon to note changes. But I agree, black 2.5 was'nt so good. Black 2.0 was much better. Will keep you updated.

There really should be a way to be able to save settings (eg login names, passwords, POP, SMTP settings) that can be transferred across ROMs. I guess this means I will have to install SMS Backup before I upgrade to Black 3.
