HTC TyTN / Imate JasJam

If you are going to use the device to access Corporate resources well then you can setup all the proxy in the " My Work Network " in your connection settings.

when the WiFi Ap pops up for the first time you are prompted ... connect to work or internet ... if you select work you will use the " My Work network " settings ....
what are you struggling with??? what security constraints you talkin about ??

The proxy settings under "My Work", don't they only apply to the "dial-up" modem settings?

They implemented new authentication crap on the environment, making it impossible to sign in with my Microsoft Messenger for Mac

nope .. If you have access to corporate info ... you will configure your Proxy, VPN etc in here so you dont have to do it when connecting VIA WiFI, GPRS, BT etc ...

when your WiFi browser sees a new AP it asks you ... connect to the internet or work network.

dude, the only way to find out which ROM is for you is to keep flashing till you find one. Black 3.0 was too buggy for me, and the sleuth one is more stable and faster after I apply all the the tweaks. Black Dymond also looks like it has a few too many bugs. My next ROM will be faria's, after the internet bugs are worked out.

Will it ever end?:D;)

Okay. Its been my first day running on Dymond and all I can say is that its POWA!

Running amazingly quick, all previous apps still working 100%. Didnt have to reinstall any apps due to different Device ID's or anything.

So far i'm happy. Anyone having any issues at all?

Quick question guys

If you only want to upgrade the ROM (e.g Black Dymond, Sleuth, etc) what steps are mandatory?
This will be the second time that I'm flashing my phone.

1. Do I still need to start by SUPER CID?, and
2. HARD SPL?, and lastly
3. ROM Upgrade

The main reason for my upgrading is that this "sleep of death" thing is costing me big time!! (Since I upgraded I have lost so many calls (cause the phone does not ring - even though it rings from the callers other side). Another thing is that I have to charge my battery on a daily basis, even though sometimes I dont use the phone that much. So I think I need to try a different ROM.

This should be an easy one for you guys:

When you change the theme to something like the Windows one (blue), when you go to the Phone or Comms manager, those backgrounds are still the HTC green ... where/how can I change this?

Thanks

Ok, just upgraded to Black dymond as well.
It looks good (though I retained the Windows Default theme), I will monitor this it in the next 2 - 4 days!!

Guys what exactly does hardspl do?

I'm told it protects your phone against bad flashes, etc.

"This stage is crucial to allow (fairly) safe flashing of new roms/radios etc...
This modified bootloader allows the flashing of any ROM to the device (regardless of the CID) and can help to prevent damage to the device if a failed radio flash occurs (since it doesn't read the CID a corrupt one will not present a problem). Your SPL and IPL are also safeguarded against a bad flashing process. This version will update your IPL version to 1.04 and your SPL version to 2.10.olipro..."

@ Landyman: So I got a replacement 64k sim yesterday and upgraded to the AKU3 Rom, smses worked for about an hour then back to the usual stunt, I did how ever load all my apps again so i've reflashed and only loaded the following apps:

Group SMS
SMS Scheduler
Calender +
Microsoft Voice Command 1.6
Microsoft .Net 2.0

That's the bare minimum I need to run, no additional themes or registry tweaks

So we'll see how it goes. Oh as for your question regarding the dialer, if you search on XDA Developers you'll find a few replacement dialers

are there any known issues with these apps you have?
Group SMS
SMS Scheduler
Have they been designed for Mobile 6?

Thanks man.

Ok, my phone battery went dead!! Seems like the Black Dymond did not take care of this problem. The worse thing is that I forgot the charger (and USB), so I just swopped the sim card and inserted it in my work cell phone!

I have also noticed some java problems with this ROM (but will provide feedback sometime tomorrow)!
