HTC TyTN / Imate JasJam

I have experienced this in the past as well on the original Kyphur WM6 versions. No current problems on Black 3.0.

Maybe you should try another WM6 release.

Don't think it is the radio ......... it is the link between WM6 and radio that seems to go into sleep mode.

Might be worthwhile to note what radio versions the developers are using.

Remember these Developers are not using our networks ... For that reason you are bound to run into these kinds of quirks ....
On another note .... have any of you guyz been experiencing dropped calls, try dialing a number and the call just ends ... data connections timing out/not connecting ....
over the past couple of months i used loadz of devices with more than one ROM on each of them ... i have had these hiccups but they seem to be cropping up more and more these dayz ...
For me its seems something fishy is going on wiff the networkx ...

mmnnn why not try black 3.0.1.. I see black3.5 does have a few problems.. thats why im not running it yet.. im happy with 3.0.1

I am still running Black 2 at the moment. No issues at all. I will wait for Black 3.5 to settle a little and leave the beta testing up to you guys... :D

@the Guy - I guess you are talking about Vodacom? If not, Vodacom is giving me major headaches lately, but not just on the TyTN ... Nokias 6680, 8910i, 9300 ... all of them

I learnt about the "fake server" trick thinging. Apparently the problem is caused by the Xchange Server that tries to retrieve the messages. I also learned that I shouldn't leave the phone to sleep on its own. So I disabled the "phone shut down" option and also set my Xchange server to Manual Update. So far so good!!!! Though I cant wait for the official WM6 ROM from Leaf. Anyone who has more info about exact dates on this?

WYSIWY(Not)G

Just read this on the MTN 3G website (under the fine print)

"In terms of the current regulatory regime in South Africa, please note that these tariffs and the MTN GPRS, GPRS+, EDGE or 3G technologies may not be used to transfer or generate Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) traffic. Should it be found that VoIP traffic was carried over the MTN network using these tariffs or technologies, MTN reserves the right to cancel the agreement that you have with MTN, with immediate effect. You will also be charged retrospectively at R21.93 per Megabyte (VAT excluded) for any VoIP traffic transferred by such means. "

Is it Telkom only or are the "others" also enjoying the ride... mmmm:rolleyes:

LandyMan, Task Manager comes standard in Black Dymond and there is a an onboard Registry editor there.

What does A2DP do?

A2DP stands for Advanced Audio Distribution Profile.

I know that my bluetooth headset (Plantronics Voyager 510) does not support the A2DP profile and I can therefore not listen to mp3 files that are played on the phone through my headset. I would imagine that this is but one of the functions that the A2DP profile allows you to do.

Guys on Dymond is there anyway to change the button when you select SMS, the button on the left is for "delete" and no longer for "new". How can one change that for the old "new" button instead?
Thanks
