Ya, RS is pretty annoying, especially during the day. Thats why I just used my phone to download it via wifi ofcourse.
Just PM me your email address and I will mail it to you tomorrow cause I'm about to sleep now...

Even worse, after switching it on, I saw an alert that I had 12 Google Mail emails. I then opened to check, then it immediately started to download other emails. I then noticed that it is actually downloading all my old emails (all the previously downloaded emails were actually wiped out:mad:) now it is downloading 125 f****n emails! Luckily I quickly switched the connection to WiFi. But hell, I now have to go through (open) all these 125 emails. The acary thing is that what if it goes "sleep die" again? Then I will have to repeat this process over and over again!!! My patience is running out...

Ok, I think the problem was Spb Baackup, that's the last app I installed yesternight. After removing it I dont experience this s**t anymore!

TV Out

I know this is probably pushing it, but is there by any chance a way to connect the TyTN to the TV via some cable, etc?

Or a software that I can use to connect/ display my phone on the computer? Just wondering?

Updating to 1.41 will still be beneficial to you. 3G does use more battery life, so if you are not using it, switch it off.

On your phone go to: start>settings>personal>phone>band

Change Network to GSM
change Band to GSM (900+1800) + UMTS (2100)

that should give you the best battery life.

If you don't mind, please explain the effect on using data on the device when Network is set to GSM and not Auto. (Can I still surf at HSDPA speeds on my device when set to GSM?)

Thanks

supposedly you can still connect at 3G at that setting, but mine never does, it just goes to edge. That's why the battery lasts a lot longer.

An on the phone call side I should be experiencing less dropped calls, right?

Yes that is correct, if it is on Auto you will have shocking signal and constant dropped calls. I usually switch over to auto if I specifically want to go online at high speed. Do not use auto for normal operation.

I find using Bandswitch is the best solution, quickly switch between GPRS and 3G ......... locked or timed connections.

Check this site http://www.soti.net/ the app is not free. For me it is a small price to pay, in line of work i am in this little app has changed my life. It is a very powerful app. for a single user go pocket controller pro. the enterprise edition brings you a whole new level of control over an end users device.

Geez, R250 bucks is pretty steep!!! Let me see if I cant get a crack.... LOL
