HTC TyTN / Imate JasJam

Does anyone have a list of IM clients that will run on WM6.

I'm looking for something better than MSN.

What's great out there ?

Agile Messenger ... it used to be free but now you gotta chip in ... its quite cool cos it intergrates MSN, yahoo, ICQ, Google talk ... all in one application.

Mine is: HKEY_L_M/Software/Microsoft/Shell/ShowTitleBarClock
Now, what do I need to do here? I tried to press and hold/then click Edit. But I couldnt - so I got stuck there. I even tried to rename it to: ShowTitleBarClock dword=1 then did a soft reset but it did not fix it!:(

"Remove battery icon and replace with the clock

To remove the battery icon on the taskbar and replace it with the clock. You need to reg edit the following:-

HKLM/software/microsoft/shell
Change the value:- ShowTitleBarClock dword=0
To:- dword=1

Remember to power off then back on to make the setting stick

I used Resco Explorer to do this!"

I Tested this and it works 100%

As anyone else ditched the HTC Home bit ?

What did you replace it with ?

For me it will be a combo deal as no one app can do it all. Looking like PhoneAlarm, BatteryStatus, SPB and O2 plus.

That zobo size digital clock is starting to freak me out.

I like the HTC Home screen, but I also miss some of my Spb Mobile Shell features like the real-time battery status icon, the quick contact dialling and you only have the big clock when you power on from standby. The fact that you can also add any application, i.e. the memory status, to the shortcut screen is something that is also not possible with the HTC Home screen. Me za tinking bout going back to Mobile Shell - eish decisions!!

Ok, you mean I replace "ShowTitleBarClock" with "dword=1"?
Like I mentioned above, mine only shows "ShowTitleBarClock" I did try to change it into "ShowTitleBarClock dword=1" but never worked.

What I am asking is whether I should replace the whole "ShowTitleBarClock" with "dword=1"?

Am I clear on this?

Got ta bounce now...

  • I used the included RegEdit program under Programs - System
Make sure you select the second icon from the right on the menu bar below to give you the correct view - split screen view
Select and hold the ShowTitleBarClock entry - edit - change the value to 1.
Power Off and On and you should be set!

Heh.. Since you guys love that Mobile Shell so much, i decided to post the later BETA release of Mobile Shell 1.5.

  • Ok, Got it!!!
Just to make it more clear for others:

    Go to Start/Programs/System/RegEdit/HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Shell/Press and hold 'ShowTitleBarClock'/Edit/Value/insert '1'
    Power On and Off

    VOILA:cool:

1. Alarm/notifications don't fire or terminated early
2. Talk button works from Spb Contacts now
3. Bug with Weather plugin (double menu) is fixed
4. Minimize All in Task manager
5. Option to hide menu after a programs is started
6. Professional Now screen displays correct number of weeks
7. Days having appointments are shown in bold on professional now screen
8. The current date is shown with frame on professional now screen (to look different from selection)
9. Improved plugins support
10. Move weather on square professional Now Screen

And the standby screen just rocked!

Where is this coming from because I can't find any official mention of it - is it cooked by someone else or are the SPB guys working on an official next release?
