HTC TyTN / Imate JasJam

Just had my 1st ever "Sleep of Death" :(
Don't know if this is Black 4 or Spb Mobile Beta - most likely the latter.
I have also noticed some degraded battery performance, but once again the above question applies ?

"The file " X " cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of it's components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file"

I am lately experiencing the same problem ... First HandyMap, now tray launch. Anyone have a solution to this?

Thanks

Must be Spb apps! I also reluctantly installed it though, should I experience any sleep of death (SOD), I will remove the app ASAP!
Otherwise my phone is great, though a tad slower.

Guys I have to tell you this Shadow is the worst Rom I have ever used. Such issues with battery life and connecting to my Tom tom blue tooth/gps. Going back to Dymond. :(:(

I agree on the battery issue ......... it sucks juice pretty fast.

The rest seems OK, I think there will be a reworked version in the next few weeks sporting the "Touch" interface.

Not sure if this will help.

Did you install the extra sdkcerts cab ?

Maybe point me to my original post to refresh my memory.

Here's your original post. WRT the cab, if you are referring to the download on the Leaf Wireless site, yes, I installed it after I had the problem again this morning

Just a few pages ago you were asking us for help with regards to Flashing / Roms... now its your worst rom ever??? **Confused**

I quite like it... it DOES suck a bit from time to time when you press the msg button - it still doesnt work until you reset.... the SMS/MMS thing is a little tricky to get used to ... sending an sms takes some time....i've had good battery on it also...otherwise i'm 85% happy with it

My fix for the original post will not apply to your problem as I merely converted to another PDF reader.

The sdkcerts cab I am revering to is merely security certificates. I know that JJ did not include it in Shadow 4.

What ROM are you using ?

I can send it over via carrier pigeon ........

Well so sorry to offend your royal highness. I have tried 4 different roms and for me dymond was the best. what's the difference anyway? I am sure other people want to hear about other users' issues

I have said it before and i will say it again ... Guys please wait for an official release or use one of the older more stable releases ... Constant flashing of your ROM shortens the device lifespan ... the TyTN is very sensitive

I was going to ask for proof, but I am sure you have a few bricks lying around.

Unfortunately if is very addictive ........ I am a serial flasher.

Very addictive indeed

And how exactly does a new ROM flash shorten the life span???

Must be the USB port that wears out... or the neural pathways take strain...lol

Where computer hardware usually works at a 100% cpu during upgrading etc... it's ALSO working exactly this hard each time it's switched on or rebooted...

Rebooting hardware puts it under a bit of pressure... and i have found that in general ... if your hardware is gonna fail - it usually does so during the Setup or Bootup procedure. (And i'm sure NOBODY EVER reboots their tytn :) )

I really can't think of any other reasons why your TyTN/JasJam will get worn out because you're putting new clothes on it.. it's not like the Flash Eprom will start to strike or anything...?? is it?

I might be wrong.... enlighten us with details should there be proof of this.

I think i've flashed mine like probably 20 times now... the USB cable disconnected once at 58%, once at 5% and once at 98%... it also froze up at 99% once...

It's still going strong... i also dropped it the other day while it was raining onto wet tar... it bounced a metre high, fell down again, the battery and it's cover went flying in one direction...phone in the other... everything was wet...and there was a little scratch on the one corner.

Still works.

If dropping it in the rain onto tar doesn't kill it... i can care less about what "loading software onto the Eprom" is gonna do to it
