Downloading now.. Im capped, so it might take some time! :(

Quite a few of the cookers even mentioned that this is one of the slickest ROMS out there..

Yep - have to agree!
I downloaded and flashed right after my post and it's definitely nippier than shadow. Battery life with the Majik and 1.43 radio combo also seems much better. Maybe I'll stick with this one for a while....or until I feel the urge to try something new again.

I'm wondering if this will stop when Leaf makes the official WM6 available? Chances are it will be slow and lack some of the features we are already used to from our favorite chefs and we will be back here anyway. :rolleyes:
 
I love this ROM....

Only prob i've had was that it froze on me whilst taking a girls number down last night ;)

Soft-reset sorted the problem out, Everything is up and running and fast and smooth and........ MAJIK!......

TyTN ROM

Hi All;

I am very new to this forum (signed up today!) and got my TyTN in December last year. The PDA really works for me, but the phone side has caused me constant headaches... I've come close to throwing it against the wall several times...

A while ago I updated to the AKU3 update as released by Leaf, but was advised by them to set my phone band to GSM, not AUTO.

Now I notice some of you have a radio version of 1.43.00 as opposed to my 1.38.00!! Also you are running WM6!! Where do I get all these goodies???

Also there are some SMS messages that I need to preserve forever... is it possible to print an SMS, maybe via my laptop?

Welcome dude!

First of all you install the new bootloader, HardSPL v7:

It is advised to read one of the upgrade guides from Mr.Vanx's site, just so u can see how the upgrade goes about. It is important, as you can result in a brick phone and could permanently damage the phone.

Secondly, go register at:
http://www.4winmobile.com/forums/hermes-black-rom-support/

That's the forum for one of the best (IMHO) ROMS for the HTC Hermes device (TytN/iMate JASJAM)

Then you will go to:
http://wmblack.info/ to download the ROM installer with its add-ons.

You can backup your sms's to your SD, using this program.

Then you can download and install your radio from here

Hope this 2 minute guide works, if u need anything give us shout. Im sure we are all willing to help you.

To those who use MAJIK and Radio 1.43, how is the battery, overall performance, etc as compared to MAJIK with Radio 1.41?

Maybe I am being a bit thick but I can't seem to be able to setup MMS on Black Majik. I see now there is an SMS / MMS option but I can't see where i go to setup the MTN server settings.
