HTC TyTN / Imate JasJam

I've been using the official WM6 off the europe htc website since august and I must say that I am not impressed. The new features are really cool, but the rom has a lot of problems:
1. Phone randomly switches from ring to vibrate
2. Sometimes it struggles to make phone calls (i.e. dial, here a ding ding ding and the phone app closes, or just says "call ended" for no apparent reason)
3. Receiving a call while on another call is pretty much impossible. It seems too slow to process commands like "put old call on hold, pick up new call". By the time the phone responds the new caller has hung up.
4. Phone randomly loses signal (goes from full to zero to full in less than a second)
5. I cannot receive a call while using HSDPA via a usb cable (all calls go to voicemail)
6. The keyboard stops working at random intervals, normally while typing an sms but it has happened while using IE as well.
7. Battery life is lower than with WM5 AKU 3

I have finally reached the limit of my patience (on the verge of downgrading to WM5, as I had none of the above problems while on WM5 AKU 3). Anyone know if Leaf are still bringing out a WM6 rom? Which cooked rom would you guys suggest should I lean towards that direction?

Dude your device sounds sick. do you have any additional apps installed on your device?
i would suggest Hard resetting the device and testing it like that for a while

Feedback on the 1.54 radio:
One phone call and I am already feeling positive about this radio. Previous radios seem to have always wanted to stay connected to the HSDPA network, resulting in really crap phone calls and alot of dropped calls.

On a call now in my normal spot (old radios I couldn't even tilt my head or it would drop the call) I could turn around, and walk around, without a glitch. When I killed the call, I noticed that it was connected to a normal GPRS cell, and not the crappy HSDPA tower.

Conclusion: Other than the previous ones, this radio is actually clever enough to select the strongest signal and stay connected to it, rather than trying to force the "faster" connection

So 1.54 worth a go? I've just been using 1.48.00.10 with 3G turned off all the time. Damn that 10 button Kaiser comm manager is cool. Still using Sleuth255's 3.2 ROM too, but that's a bit dated now.

Will flash Schap's 3.61 tonite. Seems to be the one with the newest build. Schap's also the guy who's been at it the longest now. Too bad it has the AT&T stuff on it, aah well.

Didn't know 3.61 was out ... will have to go look at it

1.54 seems stable on the Vodacom network ... in the Bryanston area at least :D

Flight mode
phone
bluetooth
WLAN
Direct push
data connection
ringer
internet sharing
activesync

what is the 10th button you have?

yeah, beam so you can turn of IR, and 3G replaces direct push, so you can turn 3G on & off on the fly. saves lotsa battery power. I quite like the Kaiser dialer & home screen too.

So, the Kaiser has been released eh? when will we start seeing them on contracts & such?

Boys and girls, before I mail the radio to half the world, can you guys download from Megaupload? If so, I will upload it there
