Can someone tell me where the damn link is for removing the stupid dopod splash screen? i must be stupid cause i can't find it!!
 
1.54 working 100% this side on MTN. 3.61 vp3G also no hassles so far.
 
dotVIBE - what rom are you using these days? i used Black Satin for like 4 or 5 months - was really happy with it... till my buttons stopped working.... i'm trying Schaps but i really wanna try this Starburst one.... it just seems to be full of errors (on some phones)
 
atmos, there is no link AFAIK to specifically remove it. You have to flash the splash screens. It was either Schaps or Schen who had some really nice ones to flash

damn - well the reason i'm thinking of just getting it back to "normal" or sorta close, was the fact that my call buttons stopped working - and i thought it was a hardware issue.... however i now believe that it's probably more related to many files on the memory card... or just simply a slow ROM or something.

I doubt that if i took my phone back to LEAF and it boots up with dopod that they'll be "friendly" about it lol
 
aha.... i found a ROM that will remove the dopod splash screen:
Schaps_WM6Pro_WWE_3.60a-0823_Full.exe

Takes it back to the original htc boot splash
 
Yep! That was the one i was going to post up for you to download!

It's a good .exe for keeps.

Now, anyone know how to change the Screen that comes after the Splash Screen? Dunno what it is called - the ROM's Welcome screen...
 
There are two splash screens - as per limnos' post ... I will try to find the two that I used to flash my TyTN
 
Yep, the 1.54.00.10 is from some French ROM ...

Lazy? What you talking about ... for me to flash it now I have to go fetch my external HDD and fire up XP Virtual Machine ... Nah, can wait till tomorrow!
 
I think LandyMan is running a mac.... i too run a mac - and i flash mine by using parallels. It sorta bricked my phone last night, but then i recovered it :) It's pretty stable doing it - i've done it LOTS of times.

But when you see that light that normally flashes orange suddenly turn red and then the computer say "Start with the recovery process" your heart kinda stops for a little bit!!
 
Haha! Similar thing happened when my friend asked me to flash his KJAM. The SPL's are competely different and he had a dead phone for a week. lol

What we would do if it wasn't for Olipro and his HardSPL....

Are Macs honestly that much stable compared ti Windows-based machines. I mean, what exactly do u use the Macs for that the PC's can't offer? (I know its a little off-topic, but just curious, as i know even Vista based OS's struggle to flash ROMS.)
