Afristar - contacted retentions dept at MTn and the lady had no clue about a rebate. How does the rebate work? Is it based on the contract one takes out or what? thnx.

i dont use a task manager ... i just clear the running apps in memory manually ..
it looks like task manager apps is on its way to be included in the ROM's now ..

Oh ok.. I just dropped mine aswell, also using build in manager. Just got this from XDA.

1) Make a text file on pc and add text :

28#"ctlpnl.exe" cplmain.cpl,4,2

2) Save as memory.lnk
3) Copy to phone. (I put mine under programs folder to bind it to button5)

Works like a charm. :D

Mtn DD - do you have any further info about retentions dept and how one can get a rebate?:confused:

@The Guy

Is the TyTn able to use the 2GB micro SD cards or are there still problems? I would like to get a card but have read that there were some initial problems with the 2GB cards.

Seems like I can pick up a 2GB card for about R850 or there abouts...

@The Guy! <The man!>

Question, i have the Leaf rom 1.35.255.2, and my OS is Windows Mobile Version 5.0 OS 5.1.195 (Build 14955.2.3.0). There is no AKU on here!!

Read here! XDADeveloperWiki The original HTC rom ships with AKU2.3
Now am i wrong here to say that Leaf have got a different rom?! :confused:

Just something i thought you jasjam/tytn guys can make use of.. HTC's X-Button

HTC on XDA said:
X-Button is a tool developed by HTC that enables the X button to really close programs. Can be setup to end programs by tapping "X" or by tapping and holding "X".
Needs to be setup first through Settings --> System --> X-Button.

Howzit Guys. Got my TYTN today from Sandton City. Sorry last one.

Any who, where can one find some themes and plugins for Wm 2005. The default ones really sucks! Any other appz you guys think that is necassary?

Tx

I see the SanDisk 2GB MicroSD card is compatible with the TyTn and I think I will spring for one as soon as I can get hold of it. Will keep you posted.

The screen protectors have been a totally different issue. Unless you are ordering then from overseas, SA seems to have totally run out of all protectors for the 2.8 inch screens, whether i-mate, HTC or anything else.

I eventually phoned my local Leaf office and the said they should have stock by Wednesday. Little price at around R100 or so :sick: , but still cheaper than a new screen...

hi,

Sorry if i missed threads, but a few qns:

- How does the TyTN compare to the Son Ericsson P990? Well, all pda phones have some bugs, but it appears that many people that have bought the TyTN are not entirely happy.

- Is the I-mate JAsJam actually having revised and bug-free firmware?

- Is MTN selling the TyTN or the JAsJAM?

R100 for a screen protector. bwaaahhhh :D Got mine for R35 (which is for a k-jam, same screen size) at mtn shop tygervalley. *8) now i can tap, scratch and wipe my lcd like i want.. Makes a big difference. Seeing that my girlfriends hooked on that damn bubble game and tapping away on my screen like its not there. Got love the small things in life! :D

Get a screen protector! Will be a good investment! Just dont let them rip you off!! :)
