HTC TyTN / Imate JasJam

Oww.. Another reason why i read up about apps before installing them on my phone! Those things can render your phone useless, or just simply mess it up!

Word of advice. Find an app that does want you want it to do. Then look for more of them and only use the one that gives the best results and see if you can get user replys/comments about the app and read about it. Then only install!! Should spare you the hartache of rebuilding your phone! 8)

Swazi .. you will need to restore a registry value that has been changed ...
it is a string that needs to be renamed ... i am not quite sure if changing the string will have an adverse effect on the application you installed ..
first step is to contact the developers ... it is thier application that caused the issue ...
last resort would be to manually change your registry info ...
for this you need a registry editor ... Resco explorer 2005 works like a dream for me ...
let me know what the developers response is ... and we can take it from there ..

Tytn Price Reduction

Anyone at MTN have any news on whether the Tytn pay-in price on the Procall packages will drop in teh comming months?????

You'd imagine so, torgo. I'm looking for the same thing - I want to upgrade from my beloved K-JAM around December, so plenty of time for it to happen. :)

Howzit Guys. Got my TYTN today from Sandton City. Sorry last one.
Any who, where can one find some themes and plugins for Wm 2005. The default ones really sucks! Any other appz you guys think that is necassary?
Tx

Hi there,

For me the best utility plug-ins (and stable so far after 3 weeks usage!) is the ones designed by SPB Software House - have look here @ www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/?en .

I have bought:

SPB Pocket Plus (adds excellent WM5 functionality)
SPB Weather
SPB Diary
SPB BackUp
SPB GPRS Monitor &
SPB Insight (a RSS/Atom News reader/feeder)

and are happy with the above program performances. I installed all into the TyTN's memory and not on my 1GB Memory Card. Some people complained about erratic program behaviour if SPB's software are stored on your memory card.

Since SPB's size footprint of their programs are relatively small, it does not bother me, nor does it slow my TyTN down to a snails pace.

Jokin.. Have fun with your tytn!! SPB is over all good apps i also think. Just didnt like them that much.. Found more funcionality on other apps. :)

Screen protectors

To the user looking for screen protectors : if for the TYTN, you can get it at the PDA shop in the MIchaelangelo for R70

thnx will give them a try.

I sorted out my memorycard issue.

bluefire, some vpn software, creates a log file before windows has initialized my memorycard thus creating a folder storage card. when windows initializes the card it maps it storage card 2 since one already exists. All one has to do is delete the storage card folder and re-insert your card.

also installed resco explorer and changed all entries in the registry back from card 2 to card.

Tx for everyone's help.

Still loving my phone.
