 HU? How did i miss this? I think on reading that the next phone of HTC will have gps i didnt think further.. keep us updated!! plz man!! :D Would be sweet!

Man oh man, if this works then the TyTn will truly be the ultimate phone.

I doubt it. If it has the capability, then why was it not released with the phone? But then again, you never know what manufacturers are up:rolleyes: to

Who knows why it wasn't released, probably due to battery issues. But the TyTn definitely has the chip inside. Unfortunately at this stage you have to be a super guru to mess around with it. I think i'll just wait for pof and the guys from xda to figure it out and make a wiki for it. Good luck Guy!!!

Quick question,

I just got back from site, and the TyTn screen is indeed rather useless in sunlight. Will a anti-glare screen protector alleviate this at all?

anti-glare screen protectors will help just a tad ... what you really need is Transreflective LCD in that device .. the screen gets brighter and brighter in sunlight ..

most ruggedised devices sport those LCD's

Found a solution for the sunlight problem.

download http://www.vijay555.com/vj/releases/...vjlumosiii.exe

copy to phone.

When you are going outside run the program (set up a shortcut for ease of use)
This set the screen into "camera" mode, which ups the brightness by a lot.

Just be carefull to run the program again to switch it off once you get inside. Prolonged use will damage your screen backlight (like if you leave it on for a week).

bit off topic, but is there an equivalent of xda developers forum for HP PDA's?
