agreed, this version is a bit buggy, but it has its pro's as well as cons. I'd say say that when leaf releases the official AKU 3 update, that will probably be the one to go for. I'm thinking about going back to XDA 0.10 while i wait for 0.30. The WM5 ROM is just too slow for me after I experienced WM6.
 
I think i'm gonna keep 0.20 on till they release v0.30. the stuf that bug me aren't that bad

only thing I want is a way to backup the Auto Text recognition and i'll be forever updating to experimental ROMS
 
voip calling with wm6

Anyone managed to get a voip sip client working on their tytn? This would enable near-free calls to landlines in UK, US and much of the world. I installed sjphone, but am having some trouble getting it to work. Accoring to this page: http://www.mobile-review.com/pda/articles/wm-crossbow-en.shtml, wm6 comes with its own sip client, but this option appears to be missing in the xda ROMs we are all using.

Maybe it's when some data connection is running like EDGE/3G etc. Then I'm unable to make a call. I can activate the connection once I've established a voice call, but not vice versa.

Anyone else having this symptom?

my adsl is down, so haven't checked voip yet.

I don't have that symptom. data & voice works perfectly at the same time for me. I also havent had any dropped calls or failed connections since my radio upgrade. what radio are you on?
 
Upgraded to 1.34 yesterday and you're right, now I'm able to do it anyway around.

To get back to the Band selection. If I set it as you recommended, then all it displays is an E. Does this imply Edge or network type GSM ? How will I know whether it is connecting to 3G/HSDPA ?

It doesn't display the 3G/H anymore.

Hmm, different version of WM6 available, LVSW edition. we'll see if it's worth it.

Have you installed this ROM yet? Too green for my liking =) I think i'd rather stick to XDA team.
 
I had the SSDte String... i changed it according to the link - yet nothing happened... dunno what i did wrong...

I rebooted the phone too - when i went back to check it - it was still the way i left it...
 
My SSDte (string value) is set to:

And the calendar shows the date as 12 Mar 07

Have another strange problem. Pocket Xpdf does not want to work. I loaded some PDF on the storage card and it does not want to open them, all I get is the default Window icon next to the files and this message.

"The file " X " cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of it's components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file"

I have moved the Xpdf install to the main memory and no difference.

I moved the files back to my PC and there is boggerol wrong with them, just plain bog standard pdf files.
 
have you tried adobe for ppc? apparently it will open newer pdf files that pocketxpdf won't open.

What is the difference ? These were mostly files created with Primo PDF.

Have found Adobe to be a resource hog of note on the desktop, no reason to think any different of PPC version.

Surely I can install this to the mem card ?
