HTC TyTN / Imate JasJam

Do you guys know if there is a better remote desktop application available for WM5/6?
I am thinking something like radmin.

The default one causes the user on the pc to be logged off, when connecting from my TyTn.

Not tried this myself, but have you thought about vnc?
http://dotnetvnc.sourceforge.net/?
You'll have to install a vnc server on the desktop, although they are generally very unobtrusive.

The Guy - I thought you were asking a question and I was answering that from past experience it does not work :D

Application list and funny behaviour of Black Edition

Trying to figure out which one of my applications is causing 100% CPU usage.
Unless the Battery Status prog is reporting incorrect. Have thought that the temperature given is incorrect.

System idle Process seems to Hog your desktop pc as well ..
there is a compaction thread process that normally runs when your device is not being used .. this bugger is a killer .. and you cant get away from it

I deactivated Chi-Tai Battery Status on Today screen and seems to have solved the problem. Pitty as there was some nice features to it. Tracking in and outbound calls and sms's, CPU load, temp, mem usage, battery, tray shortcuts for BT, WiFi and phone settings.

Loaded the Batti for Black 1.2 instead, not as many features.

Okay now for the news you dont want to hear ... The new range of devices will be sporting 256 MB ROMS with 128 MB RAM ..
Intel has sold of the rights to their current chipsets ... new range processors will have 80 percent less power needs ... in addition to higher performance ...
So you will be able to run more and more and more apps ...
How badly was that Chi-Tai affecting device performance????

It worked well when sitting in cradle and device is always on, but when it goes into sleep mode it does this funky CPU hogging thing when coming out of sleep mode.

That is when the Compaction thread runs ... that is also pretty much when the System Idle Process is active as well ..

I also have the Black edition installed in my Tytn.

It looks good and is rock solid on my phone...

Just 2 issues though...

1) Where is all the ringtones that were on the XDA live versions? I only have 3 ringtones now...

2) No battery indicator on the today screen?

Please don't shout at me if these questions have been asked already... :o

Is there any place where I can download all the nice ringtones that were on the XDA Live versions?

Actually I am looking for the US-Old Phone tone... That one was nice...

re the battery, you should see a blue (or orange line) at the very top of the screen. Click on that.

1) Deleted to save space on ROM. You can add some off you're own in the Application data/ Sounds folder.

If you liked it so much you could have backed it up before installing the new ROM.

Download some new ones off the net or pay the local yocals. Even better ... make you're own ..... take MP3 and strip it to smaller size with Audacity and boost the DB to make it louder.

Don't know where to get that, will check if I backed it up.

2) You must have deactivated it in HTweakC. Check the Systray portion.

yeah,

batti was left out in version 1.2. you can install it separately.

aah quite right. I had forgotten I installed post the ROM flash.

The first opportunity I get Black 1.2 is gonna fly. It is only stable on paper .... and in the sheepshaggers mind that cooked it up.

Does not work with my list of apps and I don't think I have anything strange installed.

Gonna do some trimming to find the root of the evil.
