HTC X9500 Shift on Contract?

Hi. You going to look at a retail vallue of about R16 400.00

If you cant tell me what package you are on or looking at then I can advise on the pay in that would apply.

Was thinking of a Talk 120 or 240 equivalent - currently on MTN - for just one more month.

Reviews don't seem great though - so I might just want for the Touch Pro 2.

On the Talk 240 you would look at a pay in of R9709.00 for the X9500.

We do not have the Pro 2 on our list as yet. Dont think it has been released by Vodacom yet.

Thanks - thats quite a pay-in.

The touch pro 2 will probably come out end next month/august - hopefully.

Why would ANYONE want to spend R16k on that? For a windows mobile poser laptop. Sorry, but what a waste.

I mean, what can the thing do?

I would have been interested if it was free, or with a small pay-in - but for R9,000, I can get a top of the range netbook with 3G.

So I guess I'll go for the Touch Pro2 - and use the left over R9,000 or so for a netbook with 3g :p

That is nuts. . .HTC are getting to big for their boots if you ask me.

I hope you guys that are looking at getting HTC have had one before?

Because from my experience, they are really crap.

I've never had a problem with them - Tytn, and my recently lost Tytn II - considering the huge following - I think a lot of people like them. Remember, HTC also make a lot of other rebranded makes.

I have to agree there - I went through 3 Diamonds before getting one that wasn't faulty....Pretty disappointing.

How was it faulty?

Well the first one, the camera worked intermittently, this was only after about 8 days so they wouldn’t replace it. They "repaired" it an in the process screwed up the phone, scratched it, the magnetic for the stylus no longer worked so the stylus would flop out the phone, just poor handling of the phone in general.

After making a huge scene at MTN Morningside Leaf finally agreed to replace it with which I got a new one, only to get home and discover the screen was "faulty". It had a big yellow streak across the entire screen, really bad. Took it back got that replaced but before leaving had it checked, also a dud, screen also faulty. Finally the 4th time got lucky. Still not totally happy with it as the whites on the screen are pretty dull and "yellowish" to me, but after that ordeal I left it, couldn't have be bothered to take it back.

You should have just said MTN & Leaf in the same sentence and I would of understood :p

:D

lol - yeah both were a pain in my rear, glad to be rid of Mtn....As for leaf, after enough moaning and getting really stroppy with the human resource guy I finally got them to replace it, but what a mission.

Yeh - had my run in with Leaf wireless with an i-mate phone - damn thing never worked, and they refused to change it - I think out of a two year contract, I had the phone for six months, the rest of the time it was being repaired.

fortunately, my experiences with MTN are also almost over.
