hth alkalinity up

If your PH is high and your alkalinity is low, you don't want to use Bicarb, it will raise the PH and the TA. You need to drop the PH and raise the alkalinity.
What I should I use then? I thought I'd increase the TA with bicarb which will have a minor increase in pH and then lower the pH again with acid?

Alkalinity up, the product made for that type of task.

Wait could be mixing up Baking Soda. NVM that too is the same thing. I can't remember the reason, think it was down to costs at the time, bicarb was more expensive then alkalinity up.
Ah ok. I bought 3kg of alkalinity up for R95 on Sat (going rate is about R40/kg). I see I can get 2kg for R53, which is an even better deal

Go for it, normally it's a bit more when I was checking.
