From the sources on the net, it seems like it be support BT4.0, and sport an A5 processor so be able to do 1080p output.

Well I have a plasma so am limited to 760p.
Apparently the current thought is that the BT4.0 support is for a game controller...oooo, that could be fun!

What do you mean, plasmas can do 1080p? Mine is also 720p though.

they can do 1080p but you not gonna SEE anything better than 720p. so there is no point buying atv3 to play 1080p if your tv cant take benefit of it.
then you need a full HD LCD/LED 1920x1080 res (1080p)

Not to be pedantic, but I was merely wondering why daveza said he is limited to 760p because he has plasma. In fact he is limited to 760P because his specific model is 760P.
Plasma can natively output 1080P.

Had a full HTPC, but it died on me recently and will cost me more than an ATV to fix.

Yup - sorry for the confusion.
I got a 760p plasma due to the 760p limitation on the ATV2 not because there wasn't a 1080p plasma.

11 odd hours till we're put out of our misery with regards to ATV3
i was thinking of selling my mede8er for the ATV2. is it better then the mede8er. nice things about the ATV2 is that you can stream it onto the tv directly. i am sick of streaming it via my laptop with an dvi to hdmi cable to the tv. can you also connect the ATV2 to the 1 tv and then stream it wirelessly to the other tv. is it possible.
No, 1 ATV2 per TV.
why not? it should work if you don't use it at the same time
