HTPC

Will the 'picoPSU-150-XT' fanless PSU be sufficient for the 'MSI E350IA-E45 w/ Integrated AMD APU'? Also, the 'Cooler Master Elite 120 Mini-ITX Cube Chassis' supports standard length ATX PSUs. Is there anyway this chassis will be able to support the picoPSU?

I'm just a bit curious with the fanless PSU route but also do not want to compromise the build and end up with a HTPC that overheats!

I have that exact setup for my PC and it is brilliant. Just added a SDD and two 3TB HDDs and its like dream.
Also have one in a CFi 8989 case that runs my XBMC and it super silent running that internal 150watt SFX PSU.

So I give that two thumbs up.

Thanks for the feedback Rouxenator...what PSU do you have running the setup in the Cool Master chassis?

I looked closely at the picoPSU option when choosing parts and came to the decision that I'd rather just purchase a good quality, quiet ATX PSU (CM Silent Pro M600) than worry about having sufficient power for 2 HDD's, the fans and possibly a dedicated gfx card. PicoPSU's seemed to be harder to source locally too.

Thanks for that...I checked on ebay and they seem to go for around $40 (USD). I was just curious to know if anyone has a setup with the picoPSU and how does it perform.

EDIT: Just read on the XMBC forum that there are quite a few fake picoPSU units for sale on ebay! :o
