http://gaming.do.co.za Request

Another Request, but this one is semi urgent because it has a time limit on it.

Tabula Rasa Goes Free

According to the game's official web site, Tabula Rasa (http://www.rgtr.com/) is now completely free to play for anyone for now until the official shutdown date. Players will be able to check out some new content as well which includes a new first person viewpoint. An upcoming patch will also add the game's version of playable mechs. All in all it's a lot of new content for a free game..while it lasts that is.

We've released all new content - Earth, PvP Wargames, Epic Caves of Donn and more, and we want to remind you that Tabula Rasa is free to play, right now!

If you're a former player looking to return and check out the new content, just log into your PlayNC master account at www.plaync.com and visit Account Management to reactivate your account. It's as easy as clicking a button!

If you're a new player who has never tried Tabula Rasa, you can get a Tabula Rasa Serial Code by visiting our Support site and submitting a request for a new code. Use that code at www.plaync.com to create a new account!

You'll need to activate your new account with a credit card number, but don't worry - that's just so we know who you are. We will not charge your card for Tabula Rasa gameplay.

Once your account is activated (or re-activated!), visit ftp://ftp.playtr.com/setup_data_files/install_tabula_rasa_1.11.6.0.exe to download the game client. Install and you're ready to go.

I have no idea how this game is, but free is free :-)

Can this please be put onto the Do Gaming site?

Yeah I think it will be. Ben uploaded The Chronicles of Spellborn and Runes of Magic to AGASA's FTP, which I also requested, then moved them over to Do Gaming once he created pages for them :) He just mustn't move it before I'm finished downloading ;) *hint hint 92%*

No worries. I usually don't release the direct links to the AGASA FTP, but when its urgent its easier to put it there than try and do a slap-dash job of creating a game page. We usually leave the files there for a week or two before removing the FTP's copy.

Just a quick note, since I've already had a couple of emails regarding corrupt files (which the SGS Games FTP was well known for):

The files on the Do Gaming site/AGASA FTP are not corrupt. We check the md5sum and sha1 hash of the files against the master copy from the distributor when we receive them and we then rescan these every morning to ensure that the file integrity is intact.

If you use a download manager when downloading large files, the chances of you making a bum download are significantly reduced. I cannot stress enough that when you download large files, you really shouldn't use your built-in browser manager. It wasn't designed for downloading multi-gigabyte files.

There is nothing worse than spending several hours downloading a large file, only to find that when you double-click it, it doesn't extract/execute. Please use a download manager.

Okay, well, I'll get the game on the 1st... I only have 4GB local for the month left (3GB / 30GB) so I'm using it as sparingly as possible till the first :(

ARG!!!! Maybe Do can get it as well?

Look on the bright side, at least the content on the site is getting more and more thanks to everything we ask them to ad! :)

I sent in a support request for TR for the new serial key and got it this morning.

Those people are on the ball ;)

Just need the client and the update! :)

Argh I'm so frustrated! The same error I had a few months ago is rearing its ugly head again. Once I download and try to install that dang large patch I receive an error 58: access denied! It appears to be pretty common. I'm just hoping NC support senior GM can fix it as the normal support guy was useless :(

Why on earth would you download it over some crumby torrent site when its available via direct HTTP locally?

Stop trolling threads which have nothing to do with your spam site.
