I have picked up some problems with this combination - I cannot access certain websites (reports Access Denied), and cannot send emails to mweb.com email addresses. Cell C support tells me that I need to apply for unrestricted APN, which I have now done, and they have implemented it. Cell C have informed me to change the APN settings on the router to accomodate the unrestricted APN, but don't give specific enough instructions as to exactly what should be changed. Has anybody perhaps had the same problem, and know which settings to change? I have the same problem with a Huawei B970b router and a Cell C data SIM.

1. You don't need unrestricted APN for the traffic initiated from your computer, Cell C is wrong.
2. You might have two different problems:
- for accessing Web sites: report exact error with number,
- for sending Emails: Cell C blacklisted??? It needs more information. What is error message? What SMTP server do you use? Does it only affect MWEB customers?
Just in case you didn't do it before, change setting in your Email program "My SMTP server requires authentication" or use Cell C SMTP server without authentication (while using Cell C network) - mail.cmobile.co.za

For accessing router:
- point your WEB browser to 192.168.1.1
- login as admin
- on Settings page click Dial-up->Profile Management
- create new profile, you will be able to fill-up APN
- save profile
- Select new profile (in default autoconnect mode it would need to restart router - I think)

Hi, thanks for information. Just some more information - if I use the same router but with an MTN Data SIM card, I don't have any web access problems.

The error I get when trying to access www.usps.com is as below

Access Denied
You don't have permission to access "http://www.usps.com/" on this server.
Reference #18.879b25c4.1401878735.12e85ab

I will look into the email pointers - thanks.

I can send to mweb.co.za email addresses but not to mweb.com email addresses.

For accessing USPS Web pages I have no idea. Does it resolve to the same IP address as on my Vodacom connection?
Code:
C:\>ping www.usps.com

Pinging e7154.dscb.akamaiedge.net [23.43.22.219] with 32 bytes of data:

For Email I think it is Cell C routing problem. PM on Cell_C on this forum with your details. Also try Google DNS servers 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, but I think it won't help.
