So i recently got this router from Telkom but haven't been able to get more than 2 bars and around 2mb/s.

I am on the edge of the coverage provided in my area. I'm thinking about getting a external antenna to improve reception and speed. Can anyone recommend a place i could get a antenna in Cape Town?

I've also checked Cell C coverage and it seems to better in my area. Does anyone have any experience using Cell C? I've used them before and my connection would drop quite often.

Thanks in advance.

Cell C has improved a lot in the last one year or so. My Cell C Giga200 (365 days) package just finished, no major problems. Using the same router.

That is the antenna that you can use with Telkom. Awesome antenna. Makes things totally worth it.

That said you can also play with the B315 bands and switch between 1800MHz and 2300MHz band and see which band gives you best speed.

If you use LTE as a fixed wireless solution it would just be a benefit to stability and speed to invest in an external antenna.

You can get that antenna from the telkom shop for R 950

Any Telkom shop? I've been to a few and they all said that they don't sell them.

Got to love their "Customers who bought this product also bought" :D

Been trying to find the setting to switch bands but don't see the option anywhere. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
