Huawei B593 dropping connection

I bought a Huawei B593 LTE router from Telkom which really worked very well, then, all of a sudden I started getting a mauve light appearing which is when you have lost connectivity with the network (Telkom). I kept getting this problem so decided to take the router back to Telkom, they exchanged it for a new one which does the exact same thing. The signal strength indicator shows 5 bars which is very good signal. Does anyone know if there is a setting for this "line dropping" or is it just a piece of rubbish Telkom is selling? I do hope someone has been able to sort this problem and can be of assistance. Thanks

Are you using the blue Telkom Mobile SIM card?
 
No, I am using a black 8ta sim card.

That should be your problem right there sir. Visit a Telkom Store again and request a Sim Swop to the new blue sim.

That should sort out your issue or dropping signal.

What is the difference between the two sims? Im having the exact same issue with my LTE router yet the same sim works fine in my 3G router??
 
i had the same problem with the same router ended up doing a sim swap from the old black 8ta to the blue sim since that no signal drop works perfect again
