Huawei B818 compatibility with MTN Fixed LTE

As of end July the Huawei B818-263 is definitely not supported on the MTN network for Afrihost fixed LTE. I've twice had the Afrihost MTN SIM disconnected from the MTN network and blacklisted because of "unsupported router". What a miserable lot. :(

Unfortunately there is no feedback if these devices will be added to the supported list. Once we do get an update on the device list we will inform clients about it and publish on the website. Sorry about that.

Afrihost Support have been fantastic about this. It's out of their hands, so there's no blame.

When Jacqui O'Sullivan, Executive for Corporate Affairs at MTN SA publish a precise statement in the media and what the MTN actually implement is totally different we customers suffer expenses and losses and this is patently unfair.

Surely afrihost have contacts they can speak to at mtn to push the approval of these new Huawei devices

Yes I am sure this is possible if only they will do so!

Has anyone tried locking their huawei B818 bands using huactrl.
