huawei e1550 autoplay

does anyone know how to stop autoplay or to prevent the 3 software on the E1550 modem from starting on inserting in the usb slot? I tried to set the function to none but it always autoplay. I tried to rename the autoplay on the modem but instead it tells me that the modem is readonly. I don't want to use the 3 dashboard supplied with the modem. i want to use VMC only. i tried to uninstall the dashboard but everytime i start the modem the software installs automaticaly. i hope i was clear. THNX

On XP

Click Start, click Run, type GPEDIT.MSC to open Group Policy in the Microsoft Management Console.
Double-click Computer Configuration, double-click Administrative templates, double-click System, and then click Turnoff autoplay.
