Huawei E220 Mobile Connect software problem

I cannot open the Mobile Connect software. I get an Error message "Failed to load API DLL" and then the app closes.

I've tried reinstalling a number of times. I've uninstalled Widcomm bluetooth, removed the dongle, run a Registry Mechanic V3.0 to clean up the registry and remove the remnants of the bluetooth software, but still cannot install Mobile Connect.

I have a feeling the software on the e220 is corrupt.

Please help.

Where can I download generic Mobile Connect software?:confused:

Oops! I think I have a problem on my home PC. The modem worked perfectly on a desktop PC at work.

It could be a lot of things,

Best solution backup your data and reimage you machine

i keep getting an error while I am running the software, i have misplaced my CD - MTNDD where can I get a copy of the software from? when i get an error message nothing on my laptop runs and i have to reboot.
 
Did I tell you guys that I have won a E220 modem at the MyADSL conference? :)

Thank you, ginggs! IC told me at the conference that both MTN & Vodacom uses this modem, so hopefully it won't be network locked. Just pop in a simcard and start surfing! :)

Which area are you in I'll arrange that we get the software to you, My device manager is working on getting all the data card drivers loaded onto the www.mtn.co.za website
