Huawei E5885 Mobile Wifi Pro 2

So I bought this device after looking at this article...

Thanks for putting in the wrong specs, it's not a 5Ghz wifi device anymore.... it's only 2.4Ghz

I did do my homework, even Huawei's site says it's both... but I suspect SA don't get the 5Ghz version then? Going to be a mission returning it now seeing I opened it and used it already
Box does say Pro 2 and AC wifi, maybe they placed the older non ac model in the box? Do have the latest firmware

If according to the official specs it is dual band device, it is.

How did you determine it doesn't work on 5GHz?

Did you log in to the router management page? What do you see? Are there any settings for 5GHz? It could be disabled by default to save power.
