Huawei E620|E220 Windows 64bit|x64 HSDPA Modem Drivers

I've just added one for the incorrect USB device detection and "corrupt" emulated CD-ROM when using E220 on Windows Vista.

Novatel rules!

Huawei is nothing but problems, poor manuals (the english parts) old drivers and poor support.

I have Novatel PCI express mini card built-in underneath the keyboard of my notebook and it works much better than the Huawei card and using less battery juice.

E620 on vista 64bit

So what was the outcome? Where are the answers to all the points raised?

I've just noticed that the E220 driver labeled E220-HOSTB107D03SP00C03 (Normal) on Huawei's E220 download page contains a Vista 64-bit driver.

The E220 & E620 are so close it might be worth trying this driver with the E620. I know the 32-bit E220 driver definitely works with the E620 as well.

You will need a program that can extract files from an ISO CD-ROM image, IsoBuster and WinRAR are some of the programs that can do this.

You can download version 2.0.3.8 of the Huawei E620/E220 drivers [-]here[/-].
This archive contains only the drivers, no application software. Drivers for Windows 2000, XP, Vista 32-bit and Vista 64-bit are included.

I am looking for Huawei E620/E220 Windows XP 64 bit drivers. Cannot find anything on Huawei's website.

Hi,

I'm proud to say that X64 XP users can finally use their E220 modem working perfectly :)

Note that I'm not the user that make it work, the user that do the trick was "porkkis" from the Huawei Forum Support.

I was able to get Vista x64 drivers working on XP x64 with a little inf tweaking. Use with your own risk.

Finally I have my XP X64 running every software and hardware smoothly :)
It's a shame Huawei didn't officially released the drivers for this system, at least some nice user did the trick for them.

Diogo

File isn't shared on Rapid Share any more
is there any other place i can download it

Vista 64 bit Drivers

Hi Guys

Any news yet where we can get the 64 bit drivers?

Thx

Can somebody give me some pointers as to how this may be accomplished?
I have downloaded the drivers and tried installing by adding a modem and pointing to the directory and finally overwritting the files in the program files and still don't have a working E220 on WinXP x64.
The instruction mentioned fiddling with the .inf files but I not qualified to attempt this. Had a look at the contents and could not identified what needed to be changed. Any help on this would be great.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have been waiting for about 1,5 years for this...

Thanks

Hi Base Two;

Look under Vodacome forum. Look for e272 thread.
I'm using e272 with e220 xp64 drivers.

Thanks HowTo
Had a look and tried the suggestions, however Windows comes up with an error warning saying that these are the incorrect drivers for the device.....
Tried roll back, updating but did not try uninstall. Not that brave.
Any other suggestions?

Lynix

Hi Guys,

Got a new acer notebook Aspire one, running on Lynix, tried to install updated E220 software, no go, Could you guys point me in the right direction for Lynix drivers for the F@stlink E220 modem. Would be gratefull

Hi Base Data,

I had to roll back the driver.
Then the driver installed under XP64.
When I pluged the device in for the first time it did see the modem, but never installed.

Their are others that use the same modem drivers under XP64.

Huwai driver version reported under XP64 is as follow: 2.0.3.8X.SP09

installing mtn data card

I got this E620 card free from one of my friends and what a mission it was to set it up
1. I needed to get a sim card and I’m on holiday at the coast so I had to show proof of residence and then an id … had a statement with me .. The lady at the MTN shop was very friendly and she did not even charge me 50c...he he
2. Te real challenge was to get the drivers and application from the mtn web sight had all the drivers there but they did not seem to work at all …. They might just be updates if you have the original cd.. after a few attempts I gave up…. But I found the original driver and I installed it at devise manager and update driver .. manually …now I needed a number *99# it works
3. I just maid a shortcut from network connections and press activate when I want to surf
4. All I need is to connect hyper thermal or any other application out there which I can use to send sms’s or even just view or buy data bundles ….help please
