Huawei E620 + Elan PCMCIA Adaptor = no go

Hi

Haven't seen any reference to this elsewhere ...

I'm trying to get a MTN Huawei E620 F@stlink card working in a Windows XP desktop. It appears that drivers etc. are OK (I also updated the p-series drivers from 5.07.07 (supplied on the installation CD) to 5.07.08, downloaded from the Elan site). When I run the F@stlink GUI, it complains about 'Data Card Invalid' - even though the card is detected and Windows says everything is OK. Anyone seen anything similar? Any clues about what to try next? The card shows a steady green light, instead of the steady blue light it shows in a laptop. The card works fine in a laptop, so I doubt that there is anything wrong with it.

Will have to check this with my device manager and get back to you his not in until tomorrow so if no one else has replied then I'll post his suggestions tomorrow

Whenever I get that problem in XP, I just take out my MTN Huawei E620 F@stlink card and then put it back in.

Have you managed to get this sorted out?

Or are you still experiencing a problem

I use the Mecer PT 1010 pcmcia adapter and havent had a problem at all with it. Maybe its your adapter.
