Huawei Mate 40/Mate 40 Pro

Security Updates seem to be coming more regularly for this device, just updated to June the other day which is great! I think for the last 4 months now it has received timely updates, Huawei seem to finding their groove.

A realization that I had is that this device was released in late 2020, yet overall performance and even the results from the camera are on par with 2022 flagship, Huawei throwing in the Kirin9000 5nm chip back then I think has helped greatly.
My battery health is still at 100% despite using the 66W charger daily.

Got EMUI 13 on the Mate 40 Pro this week, so far so good, I do not remember having a Turbo Charging feature on 12, so I guess this is a 13 feature? Really neat, seems to charge a bit faster than 66W...

It has been nearly 3 years with the Mate 40 Pro and the battery health is now at 99%, despite regularly charging with either the 40W or 66W charger. I typically carry the Mate 40 Pro as a secondary device due to me being sucked in to the Apple ecosystem, but before I got the 15 Pro Max I typically brought the Mate 40 Pro with me for a lot of outings especially ones where I knew its Zoom and Night Mode would be incredibly beneficial.
Has to be said I rarely let my phones get under 20% charge.
The Mate 40 Pro still delivers great battery life, it feels almost as if EMUI13 has actually brought both a performance and battery boost.

Have to say the phone has been incredibly smooth on EMUI13, it actually feels more like it is running at 120Hz rather than 90Hz, I really cannot tell the difference between my Mate 40 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPad Pro, they all feel incredibly and equally smooth.
Maybe if I did some gaming I would notice the difference but in day to day usage it has been amazing.
