Hi Guys, hope someone can shed some light for me!

I have a Acer notebook running a E620. Has always worked 100%, but reloaded the notebook on Thursday night, restored the lot and when i tried to load the FastLink software, it wont connect.

It normally creates a 'MTN F@stLink' dial-up in network connections, but it refuses to now. When I plug the card in, the software detects the available network and reflects it properly, but the grayed-out CONNECT button never changes to Orange?

I manually created a dial-up and it connects and registers on the network, but data transfer is not possible this way. I have doubled-checked that all chipset drivers are loaded, i have installed the software in safe mode, disabled the virus-package and tried again, I have even copied my updated Fastlink folder from Program Files on my working Dell and overwritten the Acers with it in the hope that my updates might make a change, but no luck.

I have deleted all references to the install on the drive and in the registry, and done a completely fresh install, but no luck.

What baffles me is that it worked before...

Man, I'm out of ideas! Anyone seen this before or have ideas of whats causing this? :( Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Lyle

I came across this same problem last week, although on a Lenovo laptop. The software was installed from CD by an MTN dealer, so I don't know if something went wrong during the installation, but I downloaded and installed the latest version and the CONNECT button lit up.
