Agreed, however this IPS LCD does a banging good job, in terms of details and sharpness, and the contrast is excellent.

Switching between Nova 5T, P30 Pro and iPhone XS Max, has really had me liking the 5T display, something still very nice about good ol’ IPS LCDs, they tend to bring out a more “natural” look to everything.

I’m not seeing anything yet on my nova 5T unit, tried both the normal update path and through HiCare and nothing......yet.

So it looks like the P30 and Nova are the same price on Vodacom if you take them on contract. Makes the choice a bit difficult.

Depends on what you value more, the P30 has a better Camera, better display (OLED), has the more advanced Under screen fingerprint scanner and also has the IP53 protection. Nova 5T has a slightly larger battery and slightly larger display.

Must say I am still throughly enjoying the Nova 5T, the compact design is so refreshing good, along with pcakcing such a great camera and SoC.
