Huawei is set to introduce two new Nova series mid range devices in form of a beautiful looking Nova 8 and a Nova Y60 series. The latter I have tried to search the net to get a glimpse of what it looks like but for now there is not much information our there about the Nova Y60. With the Nova 8 it looks like a good high end smartphone design wise and even the spec sheet is quite impressive. We await to see the prices on contract and cash when the devices will be officially announced by Huawei South Africa.

This coy has stopped sending updates since last year

I don't trust phones produce by this coy specifically Nova Series

Not worth it on the long run. Huawei is just too expensive compared to Xiaomi.

Still to get my hand on a Xaomi device so far Huawei still does it for me even without GMS I am still doing ohk will see what Harmony OS has to offer

Screen-res is the only thing not so great about the Y60 but it's somewhere between HD and FHD.

No any system updates on huawei phones

This coy has been banned by USA to access Google App store since last year

I guess that's why it falls into entry level range in the market

Is this breaking news??
Not the breaking news, Iam talking about normal updates in the phones

So if you can not update your phone for the year, How can the coy convince to purchase those nova series phones

Been using a Nova 9 SE for some weeks now, will post a review soon, have to say the Battery Life is as per usual incredible, thanks to the 4000mah battery.
The 1080P 90Hz LCD + Snapdragon 680 seems to be a power efficient combo.
Pretty well priced for what it brings to the table to:

Looking forward to this one
Huawei devices are not receiving updates for a number of years

If you are not interested in security issue try to purchase Huawei phones

I can not advice on that

Took out the Nova 8i last year on contract. I thought I'd breeze without GMS. Man I was wrong. Never again!!!

I have it. Some apps with it bomb out for no reason. Some native apps (Appgallery and Petal Search) even bomb out. Like Truecaller and a few others that I have to use. As a result of GSpace the apps take forever to open.

Android Auto doesn't work. I resorted on buying another GMS phone.

Freaking camera has to sharpen every picture it takes for 2 seconds.

Frustrations are endless.

I feel you but I guess good cameras come at a cost

What good camera? It's above your average. But certainly midrange. I was disappointed when there was no steady/anti shake mode for video . Even the POCO I had, had that.
