Hi Guys,

So my girlfriend dropped her P9 Lite and killed the screen. Technically it still works but...eish.

So I want to get it replaced.

www.wefix.co.za will do it for R1,739 which is more than I would like to spend if I'm honest.

Any suggestions for other repair places?

Thanks

Found www.susrepairs.co.za - Charging around R1k for the repaid, and they collect and deliver. Decent reviews on FB and didn't find anything negative in my brief search so will probably go with them. They are in Ferndale.

Got mine done for R950 at the china mall.
Thanks. Is it a proper Huawei screen though? I don't want to replace it, only to get a crappy image or poor touch screen as sometimes happens with the cheap replacements.

How old is the phone? Huawei service centers can maybe help you with a free screen replacement

1 month maybe. Got it through Edgars, not sure if they have a free screen replacement option.

Worth going to them and check, did my daughter's p9 lite without any POP and took like 15 min.

The lite range is not covered under the warranty. I learned this the hard way.
I went to in to Telkom they referred me to Huawei they even reprinted my invoice only to get to Huawei and be told that they do not cover the lite ranges under their warranty and that I would need to pay for the replacement of the screen.

i say go with a reputable company - rather be safe than sorry! i just had my s6 battery replaced yesterday at WeFix in Centurion. was a bit more expensive than some, but peace of mind has no price!

Came back with 30day free partial screen cover and 3 month warranty on the battery..

See what Huawei will charge to replace screen, you never know, it may be the same price if not cheaper. worth a shot

They fixed my daughter's p9 lite without any issues at all, even replaced the whole phone casing as it had some marks on back.

"The lite range is not covered under the warranty" really? sounds like the kind of thing that would legally require at least a sticker on the box or something.

Try to look on Chinese websites like Bangood, aliexpress or gearbest. I have gotten a screen replaced and repair kit for R300 for a samsung j3

Randburg Mall. There is a gazillion cellphone shops, most of them do repairs. There is a small repair workshop in a basement. To enter here you must duck, otherwise you will injure your head. :). But it is the best place in the mall, as the guy only do repairs

Results vary. You can get second hand battery if you ask for original, it is better to ask for a factory new (or compatible). A friend replaced a cracked iPhone 6 screen twice in this workshop. The first time it was OK and screen was a good quality, second time the fingerprint sensor stopped working and phone started overheating - no solution.
