Huawei Vodafone Router - unlock code

I bought a Huawei R219H (CAT4) router via Takealot. But only when opening the package did I realize it was a Vodafone router. Want to use it with my Rain Sim Card. Contacted Vodacom but they say I need to have used the router for 12 months before they can give an unlock code. Does anybody know if there is another way to unlock the router?

Did takealot specify it was network locked? If not, return it

There's plenty online websites that will unlock a router for a fee, they seem to support most networks globally from what I've read.

Can't remember them being very cheap though but also have a look on eBay.
