The main feature of the Y7 2019 is camera. It has the same resolution as in my Y6 2108, but the aperture f/1.8 is not seen in any other low cost range. I made a point in my first post attaching a pair of night shots with Y7 and my Y6 2018, it is very convincing. Other than that, I must say, in good light condition quality of this camera is similar to my Y6. It is not bad, it only shows how good camera was in Y6 2108. I wrote it in number of my posts before. In many situations like parties where light condition is not perfect, Y7 camera shines and will easily compete with more expensive phones.
A depth sensor helps artificial intelligence in short distances, portraits, creating real-time Bokeh effects or in wide aperture mode. Yeh, all these features are not available in my Y6. The camera app is ported from high-end phones and it became very complicated. Fortunately, fully automatic mode works almost the best. I wanted to be a good photographer, but automatic mode beats me most of time.
I am posting few photos made in the first two days, where finally I gave up on setting up sophisticated scenes and decided to take some easy shots first, then read fu$%k$n manual to see whether I am doing right or wrong.
The idea is to get some experience then fill up the second post with walk-through over all features. For now I am trying to figure out how AI camera option affect my photos. A note for P20 Pro users. I hear you had to dismiss AI every time making a new shot or disable AI completely in options. Not anymore. There is an AI icon on the top of viewfinder, but it is not intrusive anymore.
You will find two photos, the first one on the left is with AI set to off, on the right with AI on. There is an interesting thing. AI photo is about twice as long. More important, a gallery app recognise the AI mode and can display two version of the photo made with AI and original. It makes a sense to keep AI on, but Windows applications will display only AI version. If you have a recent Huawei phone, you can import AI version to your phone and compare two versions in the gallery app. Here are two samples:

Edit: AI photos didn't upload - to large.
The same note as above applies to the shoting in Wide-aperture mode. It is even more exciting, as when viewing these photos later, you can touch an apperture icon and adjust focus point or blur. These editing didn't bring any positive effects in my case, I think I pushed aperture to high, on the border of getting lack of focus. There was a wind pulling the straw in all directions about 5cm and I was struggling a lot waiting for a quiet moment. Once again, Huawei users can import these photos for editing. Please share whether editing of your own photos works better.
